Design Thinking Workshop

Innovate Xcelerate kicked off with a Design Thinking Workshop that set the tone for the entire program.

Led by expert facilitator Tyrome Smith, participants engaged in collaborative, hands-on activities to reframe problems, identify user needs, and explore innovative solutions.

Hackathon

Innovate Xcelerate Hackathon brought together first-time hackers, creatives, and problem-solvers for a weekend of innovation, collaboration, and bold ideas. Hosted in partnership with CodeCrew, the three-day experience challenged participants to turn real-world problems into early-stage solutions.

From team formation to pitching in front of judges, the energy was electric as individuals from across Memphis built prototypes and shared big visions.

Routes and Jobs, Ship It Pro, and Tandem Travel—each offering creative approaches to transportation, workforce development, and travel planning.

The Hackathon was more than a competition—it was a celebration of community-driven innovation.
